General Care Instructions

Macarons should be stored in refrigerator and are best consumed within 4-5 days upon delivery. Macs can also be frozen for up to 2 months in an airtight container. Please allow macarons to come to room temperature before serving (10-15 from refrigerator and 30-40 minutes form freezer).

Does Mac-A-Holics offer customization?

Yes, we do! Please let us know your vision and we will execute. We can customize the shell and the filling.  

Are Mac-A-Holics' macarons gluten free and dairy free?

All macarons are are made with gluten free ingredients but processed on equipment that may contain traces of gluten. All macarons do contain dairy in the filling.

Do Mac-A-Holics' macarons contain nuts?

Yes. All of our macs are made with almond flour. Anyone allergic to almonds or have a nut allergy should not consume our macarons. 


Order and shipping Information

How can I receive my order?

Mac-A-Holics ships within the state of Wisconsin! Shipping costs is based on quantity and distance. Pickup in the Madison area (east) is free of charge.

How do I place an order?

Please use our order request form and we will reach out to you within 24-48 hours to confirm your order.

How many macarons should I order?

We recommend 2-3 macarons per person for special events. If there will be other dessert offerings, 1-2 macarons are recommended. 

What is the turn around time for shipping or delivery after placing an order?

Typically, after the order has been confirmed, please allow 3-5 days to ship pickup. Please note turn around time will vary depending on order volume.

How far in advance do I need to place an order?

Orders of three dozen or less and from the standard flavor menu may be fulfilled in 3-5 days after order is confirmed. A week is ideal and it depends on order volume :). The earlier the better!

Please note: Mac-A-Holics does not ship during the weekend. Orders will need to placed by Tuesday in order to allow for shipping by Thursday (or Friday if Saturday delivery is offered in your area via UPS). Orders placed after Tuesday will be shipped on the next shipping day (Mon-Thu).  

Do you ship on the weekends?

No, we don't ship during the weekends. Orders placed for shipping will be shipped Monday - Thursday only (or Friday if Saturday delivery is offered in your area via UPS). In order to ensure delivery during this time frame, orders must be placed by Tuesday. Orders placed after Tuesday will be shipped on Monday. 

How do you ship macarons?

We ship macarons using UPS ground service in an insulated box along with ice packs. The macs are stored in a custom macaron insert for protection. Please be aware that macarons are fragile and there may be slight breakage during transport. But don't worry! This will not affect the taste or quality of the macaron. 


Special Orders and Customizations

How far in advance do I need to place an order for larger quantities and/or customizations?

For orders of three dozen or more and/or customized orders please place order at least two weeks in advance.

Is there a down payment or contract required?

Yes. All special orders and customization require a non-refundable 50% down payment along with a signed contract. The remaining balance will be due 14 days prior to event or shipping date. 

Can I cancel or postpone my special order?

Yes, but there may be penalties. 

  • If the postponement occurs less than 3 days prior to the event, a fee equal to 20% of the total order value will be charged.

  • If the postponement occurs before 7 days of the event, the 20% penalty fee will not be charged.

  • If a cancellation occurs 14 days or more prior to the date of the event, all payments will be refunded less the deposit.

  • If a cancellation occurs within 14 days prior to the event, 50% will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit.
